See you SOON!xo

Hey blogging world. Sorry I've been away for a while. I won't go into to detail. I'm writing this post to say  'cya soon' as I am going to get this blog started again. This blog isnt as personal as I'd like it to be so I'm starting fresh. I'm not making a new blog or anything like that but I am removing the posts and changing the layout. All posts will return on the new blog but they will be more personal. As right now I feel like I'm selling you a story, a note, a post that just doesn't show me for the person I am. I will see you very soon with a new lease of life and I hope you will be there to join me! Thank you, Lulu,xoxo<3

I'm so Excited to Reveal the Fashion Editorial later!

Hello my little lovelies, sorry I've been away for a while but, I have been working hard just for you! If you are a fan on my facebook page you will know that the Trulicious blog has a stunning new model; Emma!

I've known Emma since we were both just little beings in nursery and good golly has she turned into a real beauty! She's in the same year and we both attend the same secondary/high school, but she's got me beat with her to-die-for waistline and lush red locks!

Emma posing for her own photo.

So, on to the most exciting news of all... on Tuesday Emma came to my humble abode for the very first photoshoot and although we were both had a case of the heebie jeebies; first day 'on the job' and all that, I believe we had great fun and we certainly want to go ahead and do more more photoshoots soon!

It was great fun selecting the outfits and setting up the different scenes and doing hair and makeup, then watching Emma pose with all the different looks, in the scenes with me bouncing everywhere capturing shots from every angle possible and directing Emma, telling her to do this to help make my 'vision' a reality!

Boy, she's a brilliant model, she takes direction extremely well and even does things without being directed, infact my favourite shot is my favourite because of the way Emma took in my direction- not what I was expecting, but better and blooming marvellous!!!

Can you tell I'm excited yet?! Stick around, because the three shots chosen for the final fashion editorial are coming soon along side closeups of makeup, nails, jewelry and outfits!
All will be here and facebook and twitter at 1pm! Shortly after it will also be on youtube! Hope you like it! xoxo

Soo, unfortunately summer is almost over *Allow me a minute to sob* but, it's not all bad! Time to mix up that wardrobe!

It's time to throw your best bikini to the side a grab that snug, little jumper! That is, if you are 'chill-axing'... Otherwise it's back to school, sixth-form, the office- well don't jump to far into formality, it's okay to do the casual look at school too!

This is also my entry for the Dolly Bow Bow Contest!
Will you be wishing me luck?

July Empties! First post using my new camera!

Howdy chummies!

So, I had a little clear out and I found a few empties that I thought I'd show you!

*Want to read about what I think? All you need to know is below this video.*

Getting straight to the point, first I have RIMMEL LONDON's CLEAR COMPLEXION Clarifying powder in shade 021 Transparent:

I love the simplicity of the packaging, especially the pastel mint green tin, but, let's get to it. This product as you can see isn't actually empty but it's broken so I'll be getting rid of it now.
I promise I have purchased the exact same one before  though so this little review is as accurate as I can be I think. So to start off, the fact that this is my second tin really says something about it, doesn't it? On the tin it says "Pure and shine finish for up to five hours." Yes, I can confirm it does just that!
I love this product, I'm not particularly picky when it comes to powders, for example, this one says in a little box ''+NATURAL MINERALS" but, that isn't why I decided to get it, it's just a bonus!Anyway, I personally feel that this really just finishes off any look over my liquid foundation, (Featured below). So, I shall definitely be getting some more!

Next, I have another foundation, but, this is MAYBELLINE NEW YORK's Dream Satin Liquid Foundation.

I use this product everyday and it lasts for about 4-6 months I'd say. Which is good as I don't have the money to buy it every week or so, although, I just checked online in and it's only £7.99 in boots whereas I think it was about £8.11 when I bought it in tesco's!
If you've seen the video you'll know this is my personal favourite and I always use this, but, only because of it's air-brushed effect that hides pores and scars but I have quite bad scarring so i need a miracle but this keeps me going and best of all, I'm confident going out with this foundation on, otherwise, I just want to hide! So yes, I will be buying this again, but, I would probably reccommend something lighter on the skin if you don't suffer with acne scars and such.

Now I have an empty bottle of my haircare must have! 'Batiste' Dry Shampoo.

I live for this product, as I said in the video, it is perfect for that quick, little pick-me-up! I don't know what else to say! It's just marvellous! I especially like this "clean & classic original" one because I just think it smells the best out of the current "Batiste" collection!

Moving swiftly on, I have a bit of a disappointment, which is the DOVE ''go fresh'', anti-perspirant roll on.

This is quite an old product because I just stopped using it and, I can't tell if it's all used up because of the packaging but I thought i'd include it to let you know of this let down.
At first I thought it smelt quite nice, but, now I think it just smells awful! Plus, it dried out so fast in the tube thingymabob! I don't sweat very much anyway, unless I'm doing some "proper" exercise and this just doesn't work anyway. Instead I think it makes your under arms sticky! Yuck.

Ok, so with that rant over... I have just three items left so bear with me.

Next on the list is just a quicky. It's Charlie's Bodyspray in 'Touch'.

I don't have much to say apart from it's a nice fragrance, but nothing special really.

Now, another of my faves is HOLLISTER's 'Crystal Cove' Bodymist.

I love the smell of this and the label is just so pretty and summery! For some reason if I'm running out the door and I don't already have a 'smelly' on I just whip this out and spray, spray, spray, (even on my clothes and my bag as well)!

Finally, I have Clean&Clear's 'advantage' spot treatment gel:

Now, I already have a full review on this, HERE, but I just wanted to add if it doesn't already say in the review; Johnson&Johnson, who make this amazing product claim that this gel acts immediately, helps reduce spots and helps keep them away *with daily usage, of course. I can honestly say that I truly belive they have a right to claim as I didn't get spots until this little baby ran out and I am very picky when it comes to spot treatment as I suffered with spots from 11-13 years old.
Right, well, I'm off to the shops to get some me thinks, but first I have a tea tree one I'm testing out so look out for that review/empty!

Hope this has helped you out with some of your beauty decisions! Why don't you let me know what you think of these products, or, maybe you can suggest some replacements for me? I love to try some new products!

Have a lovely weekend,
Lulu

The 3-month 'Bio-oil' challenge!!!

Howdy chummies! Ok, time to get a little personal... (Don't be dirty(;)

I don't know if you know but I had terrible acne, (yucky), between the ages 11 to 13. This was brought on by another factor in my life but I'll explain that at a later date if you wish. Anyway, my acne has left me with a LOT of scarring...

(Please do not leave any negative comments, they will be removed and you will be reported).

This effects my confidence heaps and I having been looking high and low; in the shops; in the doctors and I have tried almost every cream you could ever find... No luck, they're stubborn little markings! I wish to have dermabrasion but I have to be sixteen to do so... ):

So, I continue my search for a miraculous beauty product! Somehow or other I heard of 'Bio-oil' and I read that it helps reduce scars, stretch marks and so forth... I wasn't sure whether it would do anything for me because it isn't specifically made for the face so I turned to our trusty friend google and asked the little search engine: "Does Bio-oil help reduce acne scars?" The top result was one from the Yahoo Q&A site and someone had answered, "Yes it does, I tried it myself, but you have to be consistant!" I thought, well, if it worked for them it should work for me, right?!

I let my mum know and we decided to buy some at boots, (£8.99).  When I got home I read on the bottle that it must be used for 3 months at least!

Now, I'd like YOU to join me on my journey and see if this seemingly amazing product works like it says it does and if you wish you can try it too!!!
The trial will start tomorrow at 8am and I will do shots of my progress each week for three months.
Look out for the full review in detail, with pictures on the sixth of November when the course is finished! Who knows we may be impressed!

Are you going to join me on my journey? Or are you testing out your own beauty product?

Love, Lulu

KEEPIN' IT ‘HOT’ IN THE HEAT

Howdy Scrum-chums! How are you?

Well, I don’t know where you are, but in the UK it has been scorching!
Yesterday in Matlock it was 28 degrees Celsius!
So, I started thinking… What do I need in my makeup bag on a day like this? I can’t use foundation because it will melt off my face won’t it and, how do I keep on top of the sweats?
So, last night I sat with my little makeup bag and chose my five ‘desert island essentials’ and I have even managed to squeeze in the things you probably wouldn’t think you could get away with in such heat!

5. GETTING HAIRY!
If you have wavy hair like mine then you’ll know how crazy it can get in the heat, or if you have a fringe you really don’t want it being stuck to your sweaty brow all day do you?! No, so number five on my list of essentials is my MINI HAIRBRUSH! I couldn’t live without it, I take it everywhere, but, I know it will come in most handy in my bag on a day like yesterday!
4. GET IT OUT OF YOUR WAY!
Staying with the hairy subject for number four I have selected a simple hairband and some grips! Do you have long hair? Yes? It can get super-hot in these conditions, right?! Well, with this desert island essential you can create a very quick fix, how about the popular, pretty, messy bun? Plus, the grips will come in very handy if you have a fringe, like in number five you don’t want it sticking to your brow sweaty forehead!
3. BOILING, but, BEAUTIFUL!

Forget BB for Blemish Balm, it shall now be known as Boiling Beauty Cream! So, you can’t use your favourite foundation in this heat unless they’re powders really, can you? It will just melt right off! So, forget foundation! It’s a thing of the past! Cover up those imperfections with the fabulous BB Cream… Like L’Oreal says, it’s MAGIQUE!!! Need I say more?!
2.   PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!
So, I’m sure that you wacked on the antiperspirant when you woke up, but, you know that your entire body perspires so it’d be a little difficult to hit every inch with that little bottle wouldn’t it? So don’t forget that MINI BODY SPRAY to stay smelling fresh and rosy!
It’s always good to whip out a little bottle and freshen up, both for you and the people you are with! Plus, it shows that you care about your personal hygiene!

1. KEEP IT ‘HOT’ NOT DRY!
Now, I’m sorry Scrum-chums but there is nothing less attractive than dry, chapped lips and I think you’ll agree that it feels awful too! So, the NUMBER ONE ESSENTIAL is LIP BALM/ LIP GLOSS! I think you get it!

There you go! My 5 Top Desert Island Makeup bag Essentials!
What would you add to the list?
ilu, Luluxo
In my opinion these products do me good, but I'm sorry if they don't fill your satisfaction.

Clean&Clear-Advantage Spot Treatment Gel

Hello Lovelies,
Today I have a review of my 'Clean&Clear Advantage Spot Treatment Gel' by Johnson&Johnson.

I have been using this product for about two years now and it's never failed to impress me! It does exactly what it says on the tube, plus, it's just the right size to shove in your pocket or your handbag.
The gel feels nice on the skin without feeling sticky, heavy or somewhat uncomfortable and you can feel it start to work as soon as it's applied. It really does keep those spots away, as well as those irritating blackheads- BONUS!
One of its many fine qualities is that the opening to the tube has a small tip which makes it easy to place the gel precisely where it is needed, but if you need a more full coverage then that's easy too! You just, simply, squeeze a pea-sized wad of gel onto your finger and evenly spread it over the area it's needed. This takes no more than two minutes I promise!
Another excellent feature of this product is that it can be used over or under makeup. The only thing I dislike is that if you are trying to achieve a full coverage over your foundation it tends to sit on top of it and makes you look sticky and shiny. Nonetheless, a precise application looks fine, I just prefer it under my makeup so I know it's right on top of the problem.
I am prone to getting blemishes and blackheads and this treatment has done wonders for me, so go ahead and try it!

So what do you think? Will you be trying this product?

Let me know if you do,
Thanks for reading Darlings!
